Today, Moscow’s largest news channel was hacked and defaced by an unknown group of hackers.
The website was targeted after the Russian parliament approved the use of military force in Crimea.
Recently the Anonymous collective announced #OpRussia in support of the Ukraine riots and according to other news sources, Anonymous will be hacking and defacing a number of websites today.
The changes remained for 30 minutes at the time, and RT acknowledged the issue by stating : “”Hackers deface http://RT.com website, crack admin access, place “Nazi” in every headline. Back to normal now.”
It is unclear whether this is the work of Anonymous, but some are speculating that it may be the work of Pro-Ukraine hackers.
